Now, a little about me.

At 7 months pregnant with my oldest child, we moved to a whole new town and I had to find a different OB. I found a family doctor because I liked the idea that he would be MY doctor AND my baby’s doctor!

At the time, I worked at a small childcare center. This childcare place was just for the families that worked at this particular business. So while the parents worked upstairs, I watched the children downstairs. It was pretty cool.

There was one mom in particular who would come down during the children’s nap time to breastfeed her baby. It was a good time for her and I to chat since there wasn’t a whole lot going on while the children napped.

It was during this time that she told me about her home births AND I WAS IN AWE!!!

Like what?!? You DON’T have to have an epidural? (I’ve always despised needles)

That was the beginning of it all…..

I started thinking more about what she had told me, then I researched, asked her more questions, and ULTIMATELY decided that I was going to prepare these last TWO months of pregnancy for an unmedicated, physiological birth!!!!

I hired a doula and she was ABSOLUTELY a GAME CHANGER for the outcome of my birth. She helped get my husband on board to be my support and she helped

calmed my fears surrounding birth.

I definitely owe it to my doula and that mom at the childcare center who came to nurse her baby for CHANGING MY LIFE!!!

Since then, I’ve became the following type of person:

*Someone who prioritizes natural healing first

*Enjoys nature the way God created it

*Believes in the power of our immune systems & how God created our bodies to do amazing things.

*Avoids toxic ingredients and chemicals (as much as I can)

*Is a homeschooling mom learning homemaking skills

*Has chickens

*Will have a homestead someday soon

*Passionate about birth & desire to help many women KNOW their options surrounding birth

After having an unmedicated, physiological birth inside the hospital, we decided to have a home birth for our second child.

It was a MILLION times better than the hospital! Physiological births are harder to have inside the hospital*, especially if the doctors/nurses have never seen a physiological birth or are not supportive of your choices. So we decided to have another home birth for our third child! ;)
